David Witts who won best newcomer at the NTAs for his Role of Joey Branning in Eastenders on Wednesday Night has admitted he dosent buy into being a celeb he is just normal says, he wants to keep his head down and get on with his role. "I don't buy into celebrity. I just keep out of it, keep my head down and get on with it.
"It's weird when you're just doing normal things, [like] you're in Sainsbury's in a pair of jogging bottoms and a hoodie... You think, 'I'm just here, I'm just normal!' It's very strange." David also admitted he was in shock when his name was called out for the award for most popular newcomer You don't come into acting to win awards, you come in to work. You don't think, 'I want to win awards, I want my name in lights', you just want to work. "I've been privileged enough this year to have done that for the entire year, which has been wonderful. This is just something else on top of that."
