It has been confirmed that Actress Julie Hesmondhalgh will leave her role as Hayley Cropper after 15 years. The Sweet-natured Cafe Worker Hayley wife to Roy will bow out of the coronation street at the end of the this year. The show has promised that its writers and producers are "working on storylines to ensure a dramatic exit plot for the iconic character". Speaking on Leaving Julie said I've had the most wonderful and happy time in the life-changing 15/16 years I've been in Corrie, and I owe so much to the show and the special team that make it happen," Hesmondhalgh said.
