It's been one of the biggest music events of the year for Derry-Londonderry as Club MTV returns to the city with thousands of clubbers turning up to see some of the world's biggest DJ's performing including Australian Duo NERVO along with top charting DJ's Philip George and Galantis finishing the night off with a bang.
There was also local support from local DJ's including Concur Mac and Zenemy DJZ who performed with a mixture of singers and rappers which kicked the party off in the cities Ebrington Square.
The event was brought back to the city by the popularity of last years MTV Crashes event which saw 13,000 people come to Ebrington Sqaure to see huge performances from DJ Fresh, Sigma, Chase and Status and Professor Green. This years event saw as many as 10,000 people turn up to the square to see Saturday's Club MTV events.
It was such a fun day for all and hope that the city can bring more events to the city such as Club MTV as it brings such a huge buzz around town as one described on Twitter it was the "Best Night to end Summer with"

During Club MTV I caught up with local mayor of Derry and Strabane Elisha McCallion who was loving the event and after it she praised the event and said it was a fantastic event and everyone really enjoyed it. It was a great opportunity for young people from all over the city and district to see live music acts such as Mim and Liv Nervo of Nervo, Swedish electronic due, Galantis, and Nottingham based DJ Philip George performing live on their doorstep.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to the local events company Legacy Promotions for securing the gig and a big thank you to all the agencies and organisations who helped out to make it such a success. Derry is an ideal location for large scale events and we hope to see events of this scale coming back again in the future,” she said.

I also caught up with local DJ's Zenemy DJZ who performed a live set of tracks to the crowd of Ebrington Square. But these guys are not just your typical DJ's standing mixing up a few tunes at a concert. These guys actually have a mixture of singers, rappers, Hip Hop and Funk all mixed together. It may sound strange but it actually does work and they really had the crowd moving with their mixture of genres and styles of DJ stuff that they do it's really worth checking out.
So I got chatting to the guys after their gig and one of the singers described it as "Mindblowing to be part of the Club MTV event and loved been the first acts to start the whole show off as people starting arriving to Ebrington Square.
I then asked about Zenemy DJZ and they described their act as different from two DJ's performing on stage as they bring the whole crew out and perform various different genres.

They aren't called Zenemy DJZ for no reason their was so many of them part of the group which they said they didn't want to the the same as everyone and described them self as "unique" to anyone out there at the moment.
Don't forget to check their next gig as they perform a charity gig in Fir Tree's Hotel in Strabane on August 30th with an epic Summer ending party in store on the night. Follow the guys on Twitter @Zenemystic and follow on Facebook: facebook.com/zenemydjz
